Accessibility
What we do to make Kweele usable by everyone, what isn’t right yet, and how to tell us about a barrier.
1. Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use Kweele, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on kweele.com and in the Kweele app. Some parts don’t meet it yet, and we’re working on them.
2. What we’ve fixed
In October 2026 we reviewed the website’s code against WCAG 2.2 AA. Among the fixes:
- Text, buttons, form fields and focus outlines now have enough contrast to read.
- Controls we found that worked only with a mouse now work with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus outline is visible and no longer hidden under the page header.
- Form fields in the main flows (signing up, contact, checkout, reviews, disputes) have real labels, and errors and results are announced to screen readers.
- Conversations say who sent each message and announce new replies.
- Star ratings are read out as a score, and option groups work with the arrow keys.
- Photos in messages and progress updates are labelled for screen readers instead of being read out by file name.
3. Known limits
What we know isn’t right yet:
- We haven’t yet tested the website with screen readers or across every browser, so problems we couldn’t see from the code may remain.
- The payment form on checkout and payment pages is provided by Stripe, inside our page, and follows Stripe’s own accessibility work.
- The Kweele app hasn’t had the same full review as the website.
- Photos posted by professionals, suppliers and buyers don’t carry a written description of what they show.
- Earlier price quotes in a conversation are shown faded, which makes them harder to read.
4. Tell us about a barrier
If anything on Kweele is hard to use with your screen reader, keyboard, magnifier or other setup, tell us through our contact form. Say which page or screen it was and what happened. We’ll help you finish what you were doing, and fix the page.
Tell us through our contact form, with the page and what happened.
